Mini site to promote Rio and Chiquibands (rubber bands shaped as animals) for Chiquita. Ran in 12 languages.

I developed the site in flash using a mix of pure AS3 (using robot legs and ANT) and flash assets, so those could be translated by other people.

I also created a highly optimized 3 layer scrolling background, where I could put animated items on at any point, and move them with the movement of the mouse.

Created a calendar application and web component for the European Chiquita website in Flash and Air, based on design by These Days.

The concept was that every day, from October till March a new item would appear, and for every few weeks a different background. you could scroll trough these items with a date scroller.

every background was made either in flash, or in after effects, and loaded in using data from a amfphp call. (some items were animated by a designer at These Days).

the application was made using robot legs, in FDT.

I made the rigs for animation, animated a couple of scenes, and helped out with the rendering setups (network rendering in school class rooms between classes)

All models were modeled in Lightwave by classmates, and then rigged in 3ds max by me. all lighting and rendering was done in 3ds max with the scanline renderer (plan was to use final render, but due to time constraints this was not possible. a sequence rendered the way we wanted, is embedded below (7th movie from the top))
